In a recent engagement with Blue Mountain Hospital, our team embarked on a transformative journey to address their pressing challenges. It started with the pivotal realization that current approaches were not meeting their needs, so we developed a new trajectory.

What made this collaboration unique was the unwavering support and leadership style of Cari Spillman, the Compliance Officer at Blue Mountain. Despite previous disappointments with external vendors, Cari saw the potential in our approach and expressed her desire to be involved and witness the positive changes firsthand. She recognized the lack of continuity in their previous engagements and was eager to explore a different path.

During our conversations, we delved into Cari’s frustrations and the specific challenges faced by Blue Mountain Hospital. One significant area of concern was patient safety, particularly regarding surgical site infections. The current process of collecting and analyzing data was inefficient and often biased, leading to wasted time and energy. Cari expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity to leverage unbiased data from Athena and automate the process, ultimately enhancing patient safety measures.

As our collaboration progressed, we realigned our focus with Cari’s goals, identifying the relevant codes and documentation to streamline the data collection process. We emphasized the importance of validating the data along the way, ensuring its accuracy, and building trust. This approach resonated with Cari, as she had previously encountered a lack of transparency and accountability with other vendors.

While financial benefits were still a question mark for Cari, she remained optimistic about the alignment between our initiatives and Blue Mountain Hospital’s goals. She recognized the potential impact on patient safety and welcomed the chance to achieve meaningful change.

The initial steps taken in addressing Blue Mountain Hospital’s lack of transparent clinical data have set the stage for future successes. The collaborative efforts between our team and Cari have fostered a strong foundation of trust and alignment. With our expertise in improving processes, and Cari’s dedication, we are poised to drive positive outcomes for Blue Mountain Hospital.

I am grateful for the collaborative partnership with REDi Health. Through their innovative approach to clinical data automation, I have witnessed a transformation in patient safety and data transparency at Blue Mountain Hospital. This experience has elevated my role and empowered me to have a direct impact on improving patient outcomes. Together, we are driving positive change in healthcare delivery."
