A HDE2 operates with growing independence, applying established engineering practices while continuing to build technical judgment and healthcare data fluency.

The Work You Will Focus On

Data Pipeline Support & Execution

  • Assist with routine data ingestion and processing tasks using established methods and workflows
  • Support scheduled jobs and recurring data refreshes with limited supervision
  • Monitor basic pipeline outputs and promptly escalate failures or missing inputs

Data Preparation & Quality

  • Support cleaning, formatting, and standardization of healthcare datasets according to REDi standards
  • Perform basic validation checks to ensure accuracy before review by senior team members
  • Follow REDi conventions for naming, organization, and documentation

Scalable Data Enablement

  • Contribute to early-stage reusable datasets and structured tables with guidance from more senior engineers
  • Learn foundational concepts of data modeling, pipeline design, and data quality best practices

Collaboration & Delivery Support

  • Provide clear internal status updates and communicate blockers proactively
  • Support engagement delivery through dependable technical execution and adherence to team standards.
