Rural hospitals are the backbone of their communities, yet many face mounting challenges. Limited resources, outdated systems, and shrinking reimbursements make it difficult to stay afloat, and denied claims often keep providers from the compensation they’ve rightfully earned. At REDi Health, we exist to change that—helping rural healthcare organizations use data analytics to strengthen financial stability, improve patient care, and build healthier communities.
The idea for REDi Health took shape when John Wadsworth and Jeff Grandia were leading a collaboration at Health Catalyst, a national healthcare outcomes improvement company. During their work, they saw firsthand how small and rural hospitals lacked clear sight lines into their data and the capacity to use that data effectively in their processes. This gap left many community hospitals struggling to compete, despite their critical role in patient care.
Determined to change that, John and Jeff launched REDi Health in 2021 with a clear mission: to shine a light on processes and procedures, provide hands-on support, and enable rural hospitals to maximize their maximize their existing investments and create sustainable change. Since then, the REDi team has been dedicated to working alongside healthcare leaders—including Critical Access Hospitals and State Offices of Rural Health—to bring lasting change where it’s needed most.
